Riley vs Salas set for UFC on FOX 8
by Tommy Strong @Strong_teaA lightweight bout between Aaron Riley and Justin Salas has been added to to the UFC on Fox 8 event, which will take place in Seattle on July 27th.
For Riley (30-13-1) it will be a long awaited return since his last fight back in September 2011 where he was defeated by Tony Ferguson. That fight was stopped due to Riley getting a broken jaw in the 1st round. Riley was due to make his comeback against Cody McKenzie at UFC on Fuel back in May 2012 , but injuries forced him out of the fight and he hasn't fought since.
Justin Salas (10-4) is also coming into the fight after a year lay off. He last fight back in June 2012 which ended in a 1st round TKO defeat to Tim Means, that saw his 6 fight winning streak come to an abrupt end.
Salas was expected to fight the highly talented Edson Barboza at UFC on FX 7 in January, but was forced to withdraw from the fight due to an injury.
The fight is expected to take place on the evenings preliminary card, with both men very eager to rebound from their losses with a win here.
UFC on FOX 8 will be Headlined for the flyweight championship title fight with Demetrious Johnson (c) vs John Moraga.
